Strengthen Public Safety

Kathy was born and raised in North Fayetteville.  She's seen firsthand how neighborhoods have changed--through economic ups and downs, housing shifts, and population growth.  As mayor, Kathy will make "public safety her top priority".

Everyone, homeowners, renters and new residents-deserves to live in a city where they feel safe and supported.  That means lacking crime, strengthening community policing and investing in neighborhoods so they're not just livable--but thriving.

Kathy believes in a Fayetteville where families can enjoy clean parks, safe trails, and strong community spaces.  we've made progress- buth there's more to do.

From expanding the award-winning Cape Fear Trail to improving recreational spaces and walkability.  Kathy is ready to lead with "vision and compassion"

Grow Our Local Economy

As a small business owner in Fayetteville, Kathy knows firsthand the value of local leaders sustaining our economy and promoting opportunity. Fayetteville has a talented workforce that is diverse, skilled and the youngest in the Carolinas. To be successful, we must have local leadership that is consistent, committed, and focused on strategic growth. We must unite as a community, bringing together resources, energy, and bold leadership to implement lasting change. By transforming neighborhoods, empowering our citizens, and showcasing our strengths, we can attract outside investment and build an economy that works for everyone.

Promote Quality of Life

Fayetteville is a community defined by its rich natural resources and a strong commitment to enhancing quality of life. We’ve made significant progress expanding recreational facilities and bike trails, creating opportunities for residents to enjoy the outdoors and stay active. The award-winning Cape Fear Trail—offering walking, running, and biking paths—has become a treasured asset for our city and neighboring communities. With each phase of development, we move closer to seamlessly connecting the Botanical Gardens to the downtown district, fostering greater access and connectivity.

Our commitment to quality of life also means investing in opportunities for young people. From the Fayetteville-Cumberland Youth Council to leadership and development programs, we empower our youth to thrive both in and out of school. The Fayetteville-Cumberland County Parks & Recreation Department plays a key role, offering a wide range of activities through our recreation centers and local pools—serving over 60,000 swimmers this summer alone. To build a brighter future, we must continue to promote and expand these programs, ensuring that Fayetteville continues to be a place for families to live, work and play.
